You will have received reminders from ASIC regarding your IDR data reporting obligations. ASIC requires reporting every six months.
The reporting periods are:
1 January to 30 June and 1 July to 31 December.
The reporting is due with the two-month submission window open from:
1 January to the end of February and 1 July to 31 August.
Below are step-by-step instructions on how to lodge your IDR complaint data with ASIC if you have no complaints.
- Log into the Regulatory Portal Sign In (asic.gov.au)
- Select the entity which will be your AFSL Name
- Click start a new transaction
- Scroll down toward the bottom and select Submit Internal Dispute Resolution data report
- Scroll to the bottom and select + Launch transaction
- Click No – allow access
- Do you wish to submit an IDR data file? – click No, then Next
- Follow the prompts and click Next to proceed to the next page until you get to the Declaration
- Complete the relevant details and click Submit
- Follow prompts to finalise
If you have complaints, you must submit the IDR report containing an IDR data file consistent with the format and content specifications in the IDR data reporting handbook (PDF 1.4 MB).
