We are pleased to welcome Kathryn Zuber, Principal, Member Compliance at AustralianSuper, as a guest speaker at this year’s Brisbane Compliance Forum on February 5th 2026.
Kathryn brings extensive industry experience to the forum, with a career spanning advice governance, member compliance and trustee oversight within one of Australia’s largest industry super funds. Her session, Industry Super Fund Compliance: Monitoring Advice Fees, Sole Purpose Test and Adviser Due Diligence, will focus on how industry super funds are responding to heightened regulatory scrutiny in these critical areas.
Drawing on practical, real‑world experience, Kathryn will share insights into how funds monitor and audit advice fees deducted from members’ accounts, maintain defensible evidence to support compliance with the Sole Purpose Test, and apply robust due diligence standards to approved advisers. The session will explore how these elements come together to support strong trustee governance, transparency and member protection.
With more than eight years at AustralianSuper, Kathryn has progressed through senior roles, including Advice Technical Manager and Senior Manager – Member Compliance, before stepping into her current principal role. She brings a clear, member‑first perspective to compliance and assurance, with a strong focus on practical frameworks that stand up to regulatory expectations.
Kathryn’s contribution reflects the forum’s focus on sharing deep, practical knowledge that supports compliance professionals to deliver confident oversight and positive member outcomes in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
